About Us

The Palestinian Swimming Federation was established in 1993 to improve the sport in Palestine. Some of the objectives of the Federation are: Development of the swimming programs in all regions of Palestine. Support athletes to create a new generation of world-class competitive athletes. Spread swimming among Palestinian people as a recreational sport. Develop Referees’ and coaches’ skills and focus on building new coaching. Techniques based on new technology. Participate in international coaches and referees seminars, workshops, and conferences. Organize number of local championships and competitions. Participate in many international championships. Work in harmony with the local swim clubs and aquatic centers. Our federation is a member of the following international organizations: The International Swimming Federation (FINA). The International Underwater Swimming Federation (CMAS). International Life Saving (ILS). Arab Swimming Federation. Asian Swimming Federation (ASAF).

After the 2000 Sydney Olympics the Swimming Palestinian Federation has drastically developed. The Federation has excelled in building great relations with the international federations. The Federations public relations under the new administration rendered the Federation more active than many neighboring countries. Palestinian swimmers participated in the majority of the world’s great athletic events. The Palestinian flag was raised and will always be by the Palestinian proud swimmers.
